2008 Timeline
• By July 22 - Deadline for delivery of original artworks (will
accept works before deadline)
• July 25-28 - Art Juried by Reid Kroloff, Director, Cranbrook
Academy
• July 29 – Artists notified
• July 30-31 – Artists pick up unselected works
Eligibility
• Opened to professional artists, 18 years and older and Arts League
of Michigan’s Young Artists Training  Program graduates.
• Entries must be original works of the above-mentioned subject
excluding nudes.
• Works submitted must not have been previously exhibited by The
Arts League of Michigan.
• Original artworks and photography works must be exhibit ready -
professionally framed and wired for hanging. The attached Art
Description and Agreement Form must be filled out, and Art
Description Labels affixed to the back of your artwork. Deliver your
works
• to The Arts league of Michigan’s office, 7700 Second Avenue, 6th
Floor, Detroit, MI 48202.
• A maximum of three works may be entered.
• Provide an updated bio (if we don’t already have one).
• Provide a brief artist statement of work(s)
Interest in participation notification
• Artists should notify The Arts League of Michigan of their intent
to participate in the exhibit by contacting Faye Carrothers or Anna

Awards
• 1st, 2nd and 3rd cash prizes will be awarded.
Sales
• All work must be for sale. No changes in price after entry.
• Artists will receive 60% of the sale price and The Arts League 40%
of purchased works.
Entry Fee
• $25.00 non-refundable fee for non-Arts League members (make check
payable to The Arts League of Michigan).
• Entry fee is waived for Arts League members.
Liability
• The Arts League of Michigan insures artists’ work against loss or
damage, in transit by The Arts League, to and from exhibition sites
and when stored at The Arts League office; however, artists are
encouraged to insure their works should there be any lapse of
coverage. |
